My name is Benton. I was named for the little rural town I was found in. I appeared one day at a medical clinic just gazing through the glass doors. I had some skin issues from not having flea meds and my eyes looked bad. The rescue came and picked me up and I went to my wonderful foster home.
I love people, sleeping on the couch next to my foster mom is one of my favorite things to do. I love giving kisses and getting affection from my foster family. I have my “babies” my stuffed toys that keep me busy playing with through out the day. My favorite game is tug -of-war! I love it and want to win every time. I live with cats and other dogs and get along with everyone. I could be in a household with other pets or be by myself and be perfectly fine.
I love being outdoors. Every chance I get, I am out rubbing my belly in the dirt. My foster mom asks me every time “what are you doing”? But I really love the feel of the sand in my hair and belly.
I am roughly 5 years old. I am neutered, micro chipped, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations. My skin is looking good since I am on regular flea/tick meds. I do have eyes that need attention all the time. I have been diagnosed with Keratoconjunctivitis sicca or dry eye. Our vet was able to save my right eye, but I need drops in it several times through out the day to keep it moist.
