SHARP Pet Pantry

Pet pantry giving boxes

🐾 Polk County Pet Pantry Program:   The Polk County Pet Pantry is a
community-driven initiative created to support local pet owners during times
of temporary hardship, ensuring that no pet goes without basic care due to
financial strain. This program was developed through a collaborative effort
between Soul Healing Canine and Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program (SHARP).

🐾 SHARP has stepped in to provide sponsorship and nonprofit support to bring
the project to life. SHARP proudly sponsored the first two pantry boxes,
helping establish the foundation for what is intended to become a
county-wide resource.

💛
🐾 Program Purpose :  The Pet Pantry is designed to serve as a short-term support
system, not a permanent solution. It is intended for: • Individuals or
families experiencing temporary financial hardship • Community members
caring for found or stray animals • Those facing unexpected life events that
impact their ability to provide pet essentials This program exists to help
bridge gaps — offering relief during difficult moments so pets can remain in
their homes and out of shelters.

🦴
🐾 What the Pantry Provides :   Each pantry box may include donated items such as:
• Dry or wet pet food (primarily small bags) • Collars and leashes •
Blankets and comfort items • Basic pet care supplies Inventory will vary
based on community donations and is not guaranteed.

📍
🐾 Locations & Expansion:    The first pantry location is being installed at
Steelwheel corner, with plans to expand throughout Polk County. Future
pantry boxes will be made possible through partnerships with local
businesses and community sponsors, allowing the program to reach multiple
areas within the county.

💬
🐾 Our Mission :  To support both pets and the people who love them by providing
accessible, community-based resources that promote stability, compassion,
and responsible pet ownership. Because difficult seasons shouldn’t mean
empty bowls.

🐶
🐾 How You Can Help :  The Polk County Pet Pantry operates on a simple principle:
Take what you need. Give what you can. Community members are encouraged to
donate items when able and utilize the pantry respectfully when in need.
