Volunteer

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

- Margaret Mead

Safe Haven Animal Rescue program volunteers know that this statement is so true. It is what keeps us going when we encounter one more starved and abandoned dog or cat.

How can you help the animals in Polk County Tennessee? Volunteer with SHARP. There are so many talents needed to keep the organization strong for animals. Together, we can all improve the situation for the animals where we live.

To insure that we are building a strong sustainable organization we of course need people with money raising skills. Accounting expertise and in general money handling are always needed in a non-profit group. Have you ever written a grant?

Do you write well? Can you help us find a way to communicate our message to the community? How savvy are you with social media? Have you had any experience in publicity or event planning? All of these skills and so many we have not mentioned helps the organization do what it needs to do to save lives.

We pride ourselves on not just keeping dogs and cats alive but making sure they have a quality life while they are with us. We need people to interact with the dogs and our cats. Love them with treats; walks and giving hugs will only help insure that when they leave us they are ready for their forever family.

Of course, there are the more dirty jobs. There are always kennels to be cleaned. It’s not glamorous but its got to be done.

We want you to think about your talents and skills; you may have a talent we do not even know we need.

By volunteering with us you will be helping the dogs and cats of Polk County Tennessee live the life they deserve with their own loving family.

Please fill out the form below and hit submit - then you can get started on helping us make the lives of our animals that much better.
